All veterinary prescriptions MUST have the registration number of the prescribing vet on them, and pharmacists MUST check the registration of a veterinarian when dispensing a prescription.
While each state veterinary board publishes a list of registered veterinarians on their individual websites, the process to verify a vets registration is slow and inefficient.
